Blank...

Well as you can see above I am drawing a complete blank on a catchy title.. Although I had Friday off I feel like my weekend just vanished...where did it go?

Thursday night...Mati's nose started running again..seriously..I really getting frustrated at her being sick so much. I understand..that this is what happens when you do the daycare thing.. uhh I just want my happy baby back. She had a great week last week, and bam....here comes the cold.

Friday I was off with Mati and didn't do anything I planned to do. I was suppose to go to a water aerobics class...come home...clean house ....drop Mati off with my mother in law and come home....make lunch for Josh...run errands and go pick Mati up.. wow so my Friday I just checked out...I got up with Mati...didn't go to aerobics...took naps with her instead of utilizing the time to shower and change....so when Josh got home..I was still in my pj's and my house was a wreck and I hadn't made him lunch...ooopppsss... so he woke Mati up...got her dressed took her to his mom's while I showered and straightened up..we then..ran errands ..I bought Mati some clothes that she was in desperate need of.. ...picked miss priss up and ran to the grocery store... After that we got in the pool at my mom's.. my sister was there with her kido's so, my parents ordered pizza and we ended up staying way later than we anticipated...ohh..well...

Saturday was a nice work day..we got our yard work done and ran some errands...I had to price out some things for Mati's party, I am trying to make sure I stay within a reasonable budget. Not to mention I had to get that freaking donut off my car. I had a donut on my car since last Tuesday...it was nice bright yellow...they were calling me sunshine at work, how nice.

Sunday..was a day of church and naps....ahhh.. I love nap time...I got my house clean and laundry done thank God.. We started giving Mati breathing treatments last weekend so hopefully fingers crossed she can get over this cold soon..other than that just a normal busy weekend in the Kozel house...

Mati Update: She is beginning to be soo full of personality...she can move all around now without crawling..lol...she is on the verge though. She is also talking non stop...her favorite word right now is bop...no idea what it means so her. She pulls herself up to stand on Josh or myself with no help. She loves cookies and pattycake...Last night we started reading books and she got really excited to read a book with mirrors in it...she kissed herself..

Hope all is well with eveyone else..

Tasty Sponge

I am so ready for the weekend.. I took Friday off once again... Work will be quite busy for the rest of the month and my boss will be taking some vacation time...food shows...not to mention a couple of free be holidays in there....so...I will take my day to hold me over for a while. As you know Josh comes home around lunch soo...its nice to have Friday off. I need to re-coop anyways. If it hasn't been one thing ..it has been another..I am realizing that this is life..I am always going to be overwhelmed...tired..its life, and I need to be a big girl and suck it up.

We watched the Biggest Loser last night and I have to admit I was not happy with the result, although she looked great and really played the system...I want a barbie pink dress to wear out one day..

Mati's birthday party is really coming to life...I am of course being the bargain shopper that I am and I have started to buy stuff up on sale...It's an awesome theme that just popped into my head this week.. Josh and I were walking in our neighborhood and BAM!! It just hit me. I had an ok theme..one that I was ok with...not 1 year birthday material...I was just going with the flow..I'll make the best of it blah blah blah...BUT now I am in super creative mode... I never thought I could be this creative...It is going to be an awesome birthday party. Now...I am on to what to get Mati..I was thinking a kitchen but after looking at how big the kids are that are playing with them that might be Christmas...What is an ideal 1 year gift? I need some help on this sooo suggestions are welcome. :)

I have got to go for a run tonight... we have church and I am just going to have to fit it in some where.

Mati is doing a lot better. She is my little happy girl again.... Ears are still infected ...her 9 month check up is next week so I will bring that to his attention, but I am sure he will see for himself. Today is day 3 of all day daycare. She has went everyday this week and for the entire day...this is a first. She has done really well. She is extra clingy at night, but that's ok....I love it anyways. When I walk in the door and she see's me, I can't get to her fast enough. Yesterday she was sitting in the table finishing up her lunch with her back to the door...I said hello to her teacher as I walked in and she flipped her head around with the biggest smile on her face. She knows just how to melt me heart. Last night as Josh was giving Mati her bath mati decided she would taste test her sponge...literally...she would bites pieces off and spit them in her water. It was pretty funny, she sat there smiling so big...

I am also trying out a new venture...for some extra cash..I will let you know details soon...

Blessed!!

Wow what an amazing weekend... I have an amazing husband and a beautiful little girl that made my weekend fan freakin fabulous!!!

Thursday night started my Mother's Day..Josh bought me the Mother's love ring from James Avery...I told him last year I liked his mom's....He is such a great listener.. lol..He wasn't going to be home Friday night soo..he gave it to me early..My parents were going out of town for the weekend so... we went and gave her ..her gift...she loved it.. We bought our parents photo boxes. We put Mati's picture on the outside and filled the first hanging slot with pictures we had of them with us and Mati then we put some casual pictures of Mati.. They loved them!

Friday, when I got off work Josh and I just kind of passed as he walked out the door..Complete flash back to Gringo's days...I am so so so glad he no longer is in the restaurant business...well I guess "we".. He worked a mother daughter banquet and church and was there until 11:30... I had some awesome mommy and Mati time though. We went and rented a movie, came home and I fed her dinner...I took a blanket outside in the backyard and we just played with the grass, and baxter for about 30 minutes. Then we had bathtime and I let her stay in as long as she wanted. By the time she got our of her bath she was ready to go to sleep....it was 7:30..and there was no way I was letting her crash that early!! So...I played with her in the floor until she became fussy and was out by 8:15...at least I got an extra 45 minutes out of her. So with nothing to really do...I cleaned a little and watched Cold Mountain.. Josh walked in the door shortly after it went off and we stayed up and talked in the kitchen...it was nice..we never do that.

Saturday my Mother's Day kicked off.. Josh made me an awesome breakfast that we were full from most of the day...pancakes...eggs...bacon, it was so good...We relaxed and watched "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button"...It was a really good movie..it was pretty sad but well worth the watch. After that we got dressed ..Josh got his much needed hair cut while I tanned...Mati slept.... After that I left Josh and Mati for some daddy time and went and visited my sister that had been in the hospital. She had ordered pizza so..I brought Josh some home. We did yard work, gave Mati her bath, and relaxed....

Mother's day was an awesome day.... Mati and I got up early and tried to let daddy sleep in a little...we had church that morning ... Mati was a rascal... She napped on the way home. We changed and headed to the Kozel's for some family time with Josh's parents and grandparents. After stuffing ourselves we headed home and took a much needed nap. After we got up I couldn't avoid my laundry and my house caving in...so...I cleaned and got ready for today. I am such a creature of habit. When I met Josh he was so black and white and I loved that I was his grey area...now..I think we have meshed to freakin black and white...lol...we are so scheduled its ridiculous. It's a great life though.

Mother's day this year made me reflect on this great thing called Motherhood...I got extra time this weekend with her and she just makes my heart melt. She has such a personality, and she is so funny even for an 8 month old. It's a challenge changing her diaper now and I think its hilarious at how much she thinks that "no" is funny. She learned her B's this weekend and its been babababababa with a little da and pa thrown in there. She is starting to make her own little words and I just can't help but smile when I see her. She was laying next to Josh on the couch last night...we were letting her wind down before sleepy town and she just stared at me..she would make noises so I would look at her and she would giggle. It was the cutest thing. She is dancing to her music on her toys, and is so curious these days... She loves cinnamon cookies... and has become such a porker latley.. She loves loves loves to clap...she is still scooting backwards, but has more interest in walking.

I hope everyone had a great day yesterday, Motherhood is such a gift!

Survival~

Ok so .......I survived a Mothers Day order day and it went sooooooo smooottthhhh!!!! Come on 4:30! Ready to see my munchin...

Normalcy

I am so glad today is Thursday and so thankful that my sweetie pie is feeling so much better. Yesterday was her last shot and she knew what was coming. The nurse said usually by the third day that they know what they are there for. I couldn't distract her and she started to cry before they even poked her. Poor baby! She is sooo much better though. No runny nose this morning...a little cough. She was still tugging on her ear, but I am hoping that goes away! She is back to being her playful self.. Last night I finally got to hear what she calls Baxter. It always sounds the same but she whispers it and when the tv is on and he is barking to be let out, I can't really hear her. So last night after we got home from church I heard her say "ater"...plain as day. The tv was off and he was patiently waiting so....I heard her and I repeated it back to her and she smiled and raised her eyebrows...so obviously mommy figured it out. She hasn't learned her B's so...I will just keep pronouncing it as "baxter" when she says her "ater".... Time is just flying by.

Josh and I have pretty much agreed that after the new year we are going to try to get pregnant again. I have lost all my baby weight and then some so as long as I maintain it...I will feel comfortable with blowing up again! For now..we are focusing on Mati! Have I mentioned that she loves attention. Yesterday at the Dr's office she was smiling at everyone. She would bend her back so she would be looking at them upside down for some extra attention. Of course, I hear all the time how beautiful she is...yes...we know! I still love to hear it though.

This morning went really smooth with Mati....when I got her to daycare this morning a little girl in her class ran up to her with her arms up and open with a huge smile on her face.. I put Mati on the floor while I got her stuff out of her bag and her little friend tried to sit on her lap. Mati started freaking out. She didn't know what was going on, she started screaming. It was so funny! I can't wait to see her at lunchtime!

This weekend we have some plans of course. My parents are going out of town so we are going to try go out tonight. I love what we got our moms this year...very sentimental... As for my Mother's Day....we are being very low key. I agree with Amy that I would love a day at the spa...BUT....it will have to wait! I will post some pictures as the weekend plays out!

I am a MIRACLE man.

Anyone who has ever seen the movie "Signs" you remember the scene where Mel Gibson asks his brother if he is a miracle man....He gives a hilarious explanation and confirms that yes in fact he is a miracle man...After yesterday there is no doubt that I am a miracle man..well...woman... Yesterday Josh and I went to WalMart and after all the stress of the whole day..I was a bit overwhelmed and very much scatter brained....I left my phone on top of my car.. Of course I didn't realize it until Josh went to put our phones on the chargers before going to bed. The minute he told me that my phone wasn't in the car or the diaper bag...I knew.....I had a horrible feeling in my stomach and after frantically looking around I started to cry....I have a great phone and I really don't have another 300 bucks to throw around for a new one. Josh was pretty mad. He told me I wouldn't have a phone anymore...so I thought of the only thing I could do...I took Josh's phone and walked to the end of our street ..or the entrance of our neighborhood...and prayed for a miracle....I called my phone and sure enough....I heard it ringing, from a ditch!!!!! I was like a kid on Christmas morning. It has a small dent in the side but thats it!!!! No cracked screen and it looks great! Now that I am typing this and thinking about it rationally...I have insurance on this phone and a replacement would have cost me 50 bucks...heelllloooo Kate! This was my second time to do this sort of thing..last time my 2 month old sidekick ended up in 3 pieces at a major intersection of Pearland. So thank you Jesus!

Madelyne Update: She is doing a ton better.... We went to the Dr. on Monday and surprise surprise....she was no better. He said she had a resilient ear infection and wanted to know about chronic ear problems... He said she was breathing to heavy for him and she needed breathing treatments....ok whatever she needs...then he informed me that the antibiotics we not working and they were a high dosage so....we needed to do a 3 day cycle of shots. Okay...so yesterday I stayed home and did her treatments every 4 hours....took her back for shot number 2, and she is acting more like my kido again. She is getting up only 1 time...and she seems so much better. I am still doing the treatments and probably will until the end of the week or so. Today is her last shot and I am soooooo ready..The nurse says they are a very thick shot so its painful... She screams....like bloody murder...Over all she has done really well...I am really proud of her. Hopefully by the end of the week she will be like her old self again. Other than that she is becoming quite a handful. She wants to constantly get down..she thinks she can walk. All she wanted to in the Dr. office was walk back and forth so ...I held her hands and let her walk around. She has started trying to take her hands from mine while we are walking.... miss independent.. She laughs at me when I tell her no...I don't find this funny...lol...She is also scooting backwards now....she gets so mad...bc she can't be as mobile as she wants. She aslo said Maw maw this week..Its amazing how fast the words are coming out of that little mouth of hers...

Other than that Josh and I are soaking up every minute of life with our beautiful gift from heaven!

Poor Kido...

Well if it's not one thing ....its another...Since Mati has started daycare we have been plagued by one thing or another. First we all caught a stomach virus that nearly knocked us out for a week. Then she had a strand of the hand, mouth, and foot virus.......the pink eye made its departure and her ears were pretty much clear last Thursday......still lingering would be the sinus infection. OMG...seriously...this is a child that had only a cold when she was about 6 weeks old...thats it!!!!!!!!!! Now she wakes up numerous times throughout the night and Josh and me feel like zombies walking around. She thinks she is like choking in her sleep so she wakes herself up coughing and then moans for an hour or so. Last night her snot was hot pink from her throat or nasal cavities bleeding.... Josh is in close right now and there is no way for him to stay home or take her to an appointment so basically I have been bending over backwards with work..I refuse to call in...unless its an emergency and my mom can watch her here and there. SOO...and all of her Dr. appointments have been on my busiest order days at work!!! wooohooo..So...I am ready for something to happen. I had her prayed for at church on Sunday morning....and I am hoping to see the light soon...

whew..I feel much better....

ok so...Other than all of that mess...we tried to have a relaxing weekend...We did our usual...movies...groceries...yardwork...housework... and Lance rode his bike...lol..

We are getting things organized for Mati's one year and I am so excited...I can't believe it is so close ...It doesn't feel like she was born over 8 months ago...Gosh..

She is making attempts at crawling but all in all she doesn't care. I guess I should be glad that she can move herself.:)She is trying to pull up on furniture and I think the minute she learns to stand ..she will be running before we know it. She is still doing great with steps and I love watching her learn. She loves to put her binky in our mouths and anything else. She loves to bounce on our stomachs and giggle. She also has started saying mama alot...last week it was here and there and then this weekend...mamamamamamama....love it!

Hope everyone's day is better than mine...She has another appointment today so....we will see.
