Well what a busy week we have had and after this weekend we are going to be knocked up into overdrive until finals...I am scared and excited all at the same time!
Mati has been doing great! Her vocabulary has expanded to words I haven't expected to hear yet. It really amazes me how much that little mouth can talk. Its almost been a week with no binky and she still kind of ask for it from time to time. I have noticed that when I say the binky is all gone, I am asked almost in the same sentence for her "cuppy".... I think she is replacing the binky with her cuppy, and that's okay. Wednesday when I picked up Mati from the daycare I noticed an ambulance outside the building where Mati is kept. In a hurried walk I finally reached her classroom. I noticed the teacher was gone, but I didn't think anything of it. I was holding my baby, and that's all that mattered at that moment. After asking some questions my heart broke when I found out that one of the little girls in Mati's class was actually seizing in the ambulance and they couldn't get her to stop. During diaper change the little girl began seizing on the ground, the teachers cut her clothes off and laid her on her side to try and get them to stop. Nothing worked, she started seizing at 4:05 and continued until late that night. Typically when you have a seizure your brain doesn't get in oxygen and if the persist for a long period of time, brain damage is common. Thankfully she was released from ICU the next day and she had zero brain damage! Thank you Jesus! Poor Mati, the kids were all in the room and I asked Mati if she was okay. She told me yes and then asked me if I was okay. She can always make me smile. Other than that we have a little tease on our hands....she will act as if you are about to get a kiss and run away laughing...lol. She also got her first pair of puma tennis shoes. I am so anti-tennis shoe, but Josh insisted and I am glad she got them. She loves them and is constantly showing me her new shoes...lol.. She also loves everything..she loves her books, Baxter, cookies, mommy, Josh. It's hilarious!
This week is going to be a major clean out...wipe down weekend. I want alot done, so we will see what I get accomplished! This hands can do wonders...lol..
Unfortunately Josh's mom was taken to the Emergency room yesterday afternoon. She is having a hard time controlling her muscles from her waist down. We are hoping this might be a side effect from her medication, but the doctors are worried that a compressed tumor is on these nerves...effected her equilibrium. So please keep her in your prayers.
