Words and Lots of Learning

Well Mati has been saying a whole slew of words...she says "good" when she is eating and sometimes randomly...."shoes"..she loves her watermelon shoes... "paw paw" thats what she calls my dad and if she hasn't seen him a couple of days thats all we hear... "maw maw" for my mom..she has only said this twice...in one day, so my mom is hoping to hear it again soon!!! She says daddy now a lot instead of da da for Josh...and of course ma ma only when she is crying or wants me to pick her up, but we hear daddy an awful lot. "Bop"...we have now idea what this means...she says is alot and it means something to her ...I starting thinking it was her binky...no idea! "doy doy" one of her many used phrases..once again we have no idea...."tah ter" for Baxter and man do they love each other. She says "play"...when you put her down with her toys. "up" when she wants out of her high chair...this was more frequent in the past and comes and goes.. If you ask her to clap ..she will....or blow kisses.....she will...She is really stingy with her real kisses...they are few and far between and you never know when you are going to get one...she likes the element of surprise.. :) She like patty cake and claps when you sing it to her....he "roll um ups" are a little challenging but she does her best. She can also give you five although she would like to give you 10...15...20.....lol...She likes to dance and loves to make you laugh...She is such a little clown. She loves to play with things she thinks she isn't suppose to...while I make my bed I will leave her a basket on the floor with random stuff in it and when she comes across it she thinks she isn't suppose to play so she has a time!!! I wonder when she will figure out mommy put a smooth one on her. It keeps her entertained so I can make my bed! She is learning and growing so much...we are quickly moving out of the hard phase and into the fun one. Other than teeth coming in we have a happy healthy baby!!! I am experimenting with giving her actual food here and there...and we are trying the transition to a sippy cup...slowly! I know there are many other funny things she is doing but I can't remember them all soo...these will have to do!!

Focused and Sore

Well the weekend went by all too fast! I have no idea where it went.....

Friday started off early getting to work at 6am. I had to run 2 delivery's and before I could blink it was lunchtime. I got off at 2..which was pretty sweet. We went to dinner and Josh completely cheated..he busted his diet wide open.. I couldn't believe it. I had to listened to him beat himself up for hours after. We went home and crashed before ten...ohh the life...lol..

Saturday Mati decided to grace us with her presence early after a rough night. Her I tooth is coming in which means cranky baby!!! so..I made Josh get up with her and I crashed until 10. We were suppose to go get some things for Mati's party but I kind of got distracted and then Mati threw up...so it put a damper us getting ready. We went and tanned and headed over to my dad's for our weekend ritual of eating with the family and swimming. Except we didn't get to swim..and I just didn't feel good! I have had the worst case of the "don't want to's"...I am kinda glad its the work week so I have no excuse for doing nothing. After heading home and putting Miss Priss down Josh and I worked out. I think we crashed shortly there after.

Sundays.....Church in the am..as usual... We didn't do lunch with my parents and went home instead. Mati crashed on the way home and I did shortly after getting home. Gotta love those Sunday naps... Josh worked out while I took a very short nap..he brought Mati to me when she woke...we played and I devoured a very unhealthy bowl of mac and cheese. After his workout I went back to bed...like I said..I just haven't been feeling like doing anything and I have been tired so...I crashed and got up around 3 when Josh finally pushed me to get in gear and go to the tanning bed.. We had to make a quick run to the grocery store to pick up a few things then back home so I could get busy on my weekend chores.. boo...Josh had to meet with his group from school so I only had him for about an hour and a half... I managed to get all my laundry done ..some furniture moved...(solo)...and my house spotless. I just can't go through the week with my house not organized, on the weekends lately Josh and I have been acting like teenagers and leave thing everywhere. I was determined to get the things done I have been pushing off. I was up until 12...Mati woke up and was up until 1...Josh got home a little after 1...so..we decided not to work out this morning and hit it tonight. I am pushing myself really hard in the workouts right now. I have a lot of motivation with Mati's party quickly approaching.

Anyways I need to get busy with orders...people need to blog... k thanks :)

Confidence Boosters

I was not shocked when I heard the statistic that only 3% of women think they are beautiful. I have rarely came across that small percentage and I count myself with the 97%. Although I don't think I am a dog...I don't really have that confidence that I hear so much about. Most of my girlfriends aren't happy with what they look like and no matter how big or small...you always want to change something. I think all of my friends are beautiful women. There isn't one that I would agree with when they tell me their flaws or what they want to change. So how do you find that for yourself? I am trying to learn to be comfortable in my own skin...I am one of the most modest people you will ever meet. I was notorious for walking backwards covering myself past my husband if I had just gotten out of the shower or sprinting to the laundry room in search of clothing. When we walk in some where I feel the glances...and maybe they are saying they like my shoes..I am assuming my hair is messed up or my clothes don't match...So with all that said I am embarking on a new journey. I want to be confident..classy..and I want Mati to watch my example and be a confident woman. I don't want her to think she has to put up with something or someone because she isn't good enough.

Soo... I thought I would add a little humor..

Here are 5 places that any woman can go and feel like the most beautiful woman on earth :)

5. Any Truck Stop... (Just walk in like you are lost and need directions)

4. The Flea Market ... (need I say more)

3. Any construction site..... (For some reason when men have power tools...they act like they are holding the universe..)

2. Any Lowe's or Home Depot....(they don't really care to help you find the paint..lol..)

1. Any kitchen of any restaurant no matter what the clientele!!!!! (Just wander in like you are trying to find the bathroom.....you will leave feeling like you must be the only woman on the freakin planet)

So go out there and get ya some confidence!!!

Is it Friday?

Tomorrow is Friday and I can't wait...It's crazy I have felt like its Friday all morning. I feel great today and I am in such a great mood.. My morning went smooth and I am just trucking it. Orders today and I know my day will get crazy. My boss is out of town and that always equals manic in the office. Today is going to be a great day...Speak it and believe it~

I have been planning Mati's birthday party this week.. kinda wrapping up loose ends.. writing out my guest list. I will say her party is VERY "themed" and its kinda like an outfit with matching shoes....bow...braclet.. maybe too much. Josh and I have just had so many cute idea's..I can't wait. I know since she is baby number one we are going a little overboard but I don't think its that bad!!! lol..I am hoping to get all the party favors done this weekend and put away. Less mess for me to deal with next month. I have been concentrating on doing tedious things so that next month goes ridiculously smooth.. I am an over achiever and I work better during pressure though..and I married the same thing..so...we will see. My guest room has become my storage room and I HAVE got to clean out my office this weekend.

Lately I have really gotten into Tori and Dean. They remind me sooo much of me and Josh. I think they are such a cute couple and I hope other see me and my honey the same way.P90x still going strong..9lbs down...woho.. and Josh is looking great..his little 4 pack is starting to come out and I don't think he has ever had pecs...I like! lol..anyways.. so..on to things you care to read..

Mati is doing fabulous, she is into everything just as she was last week. I don't think it stops. I had to take her to the doctor this week. She has baby eczema and it had spread on her face. Since she is getting her 1 year pictures done this weekend I had to go see if there was anyway for some creams to make it go away. Of course I wasted a co pay for an over the counter cream when he probably could have told me that over the phone. ohh well live and learn. Josh is taking off tomorrow. We were suppose to be going out of town but those plans may have fizzled so..I told him to go ahead and take the day and spend it with himself. I think he wants to go on a bike ride and lounge around the house a bit. I think its a great plan. I am really excited about her pictures..tomorrow, he outfit is really cute. Josh and I picked each piece out with a lot of detail. I can't wait to post pics..anyways. Hope you all have a great day!

It's Flying By..

Well it seems like life as we know it is just flying by. I think this is how it is suppose to go, but I just can't help wondering how I should slow it down. I am at work bright and early today. 6am on Fridays. It pays off though..I am able to head home by 2...thats not bad for a Friday. Lots to do at home this weekend.. I need to clean out what use to be our office..From September to December hopefully we plan on turning it on a really awesome playroom. We have some really cool idea's and I can't wait to put them to good use. Once baby number 2 comes along I think we will have definately outgrown our home. We will no longer have a guest room and I think I will have furniture in my garage..I think maybe we should just get a storage unit once we start moving things around. ohh well...Just thinking over everything I am going to have to do this weekend is making me tired...on to fun stuff like Mati...

Well she is quite a handful these days...always into something. I wish I hand enough hands to count how many times I say "no" a day. Its just not possible. She is such a silly girl...full of a sassy personality. Last week I went to visit Mati on my lunch break and her teachers asked me if I knew that she says "shoes"...I just laughed and said yes... She had said it a couple times with me but I just thought I must be hearing things...Mati will tap Josh's shoes and say shoes....she also notices mommie's shelves of shoes and says shoes... She is definately her mommies daughter..before I decided to spend all my extra cash on Mati I use to endulge myself with shoes.....lol.....This week on Tuesday when I went they asked me if Mati called my dad "paw paw" and I said yes. They said she must be missing him today. She has said his name all morning. I told them they had a date that night. Tuesdays and Thursdays my dad watches Mati while I teach my water aerobics class...he feeds her...gives her a cookie...they play and usually take a nap together. Another thing miss priss is doing...she will stand between your legs..She comes up from behind you and wraps an arm around each leg...puts her head between your legs. It's pretty funny. She has definately started saying more words less jabber...of course sometimes she will say a sentence that is completly her own language. Her and Baxter are still getting along great. He is definately her dog. She will laugh when he kisses her and yes my child gives our dog open mouth kisses..she will lean into him. About a week ago, Mati and Baxter were playing on the ground and she decided to crawl out of the living room...she turned and looked at him and said "doy doy tah ter" and took off for the kitchen.. like come with me Baxter. She says "doy doy" often ..we have no idea what it means. Mati likes to make me jelous when I go see her at daycare on my lunch. She will crawl out of my lap and go sit in Ms. Helens lap...look at me and wave bye bye...I tell her to come here and she laughs...so I tell her I am going bye bye so she will crawl really fast to me and give me a kiss...we did this about 5 times one day. She growing up and I know I say this in every post but wow!!!

I mentioned baby #2 earlier and that won't be happening for a while. Josh is in school and I will be joining him in August. Next year he will be taking his CPA and refuse to be prego and chasing after another all by myself so definately no this year or the next but maybe the following spring we will try again. Thats our plan anyways..the man upstairs has his own!

So this is all I have for today...Have a great weekend everyone and hopefully I can return to blog world normalcy next week!

We're Back!!! Now...lets backtrack!

Happy Father's Day to my Hubby!!!

You are an amazing dad Josh. It's as if I picked you out of a magazine. Madelyne adores you. After all...you are the first person she flashed her "social" smile too...when you cam home from work....You got the very first giggle...without working for it.. I think I am still jealous about that. I only changed 1 diaper in the hospital, and it was you who taught me how to warm Mati's bottle correctly. I remember being terrified when you went back to work after she was born...ahhh...how things have changed..lol.. Saturday mornings are "daddy and mati" time and I love to see such a close bond between you and Mati moo.. I just wanted you to know that I am so proud that Mati has a father like you. I have never known a man who cared about what their child wore as much as you do, and although it annoys me at times...I secretly think its the cutest thing ever. You never let the tension from the day get in the way of spending quality time with her. I watch you secretly peer over your computer at night to watch her play when you should be doing homework. Whenever we go anywhere you have the biggest "that's my little girl" smile I have ever seen. I love you and thank you for being an amazing father to our beautiful daughter.

Next.....Mati learned how to really stand in her crib quite a few weeks ago...but here are some funny pictures of her trying to get out and crying excessively because she wanted out....

We have had quite a few busy weeks....as you can see I haven't blogged...School has been really stressful on Josh and he is dropping his load in August in half. Thank you Jesus! He is up into all hours of the night after being at school all night and is up at 430 to work out. So...the weekends are slammed from grocery shopping..errands...yardwork...and more school work...all in all...his grades are excellent and he is coping alright. My water aerobics class is still going strong. Josh and I are still doing our program and eating clean . We are about to move into the 2 phase and I have lost about 7 lbs...woo hoo..Haven't weighed this since high school...I will admit I have cheated a few times...BUT Josh has been a fanatic about this thing and has eaten very clean....way to go baby..

We went to Mississippi for the fourth and it was such a nice breath of fresh air... Josh and I had separate days off so we took off the opposite day and had a 4 day weekend. We had a great, relaxing time in MS and everyone got to see Mati. Here are a few pictures from the weekend..

On the way...I couldn't help it..It was such a cute mohawk...

She loves to kiss herself with this mirror....

Little Miss Fourth of July

Playing with her great grandma..this was hilarious to wake up to....

Hanging out with friends...

All about Mati: Well she is on the brink of walking people, she stands alone now for quite a few seconds and can lower herself back down slowly....While packing we caught Mati standing on her tip toes trying to get Josh's gel off of the counter in the bathroom..she was actually touching it..unfortunately the camera was no where in sight. She loves to empty things....She unpacked her self all over mommies bathroom floor... It was hilarious watching her empty her suitcase like she was on a mission. She has really grown into a personality. She is talking her jibber jabber non stop... She loves to make anyone laugh...my little clown. We play chase alll the time. She crawls behind me and I will chase her around. When she crawls really fast she pants really loud. She has also developed a fear for our vacuum cleaner...no idea on that one... She still has her binky and I really don't know when I am going to take it....Last week she had Hand Mouth and Foot.. and her blisters are almost gone. The past 2 weeks have felt like a whirlwind do its so hard to remember all of the silly things she is doing. ohh unfortunately she has started throwing her self down on the ground...and crying...i.e. throwing a fit....this is not cool and she gets in trouble... :( Yesterday at my moms house when she wanted to be picked up she would stop mid crawl and lay there flat..she looked so funny. She is getting so big and time is flying by...it won't be long and I will be spilling my guts about her birthday weekend...its going to be amazing...

Coming Soon

Ok so I have a huge blog typed out in drafts to update everyone on us. It's just waiting on pictures that go with it...It should be posted by tomorrow...so don't give up on me yet...
